Timed or AI Breedings:

  • Does will receive CIDRs

    • In place for 10 days​

    • One dose (Straw) of semen should be placed within the doe’s cervix within an hour or two of ovulation

    • Doe should be introduced to Buck by line or pen breeding

Feeding Regimen for Kids:

    • Medicated with Decoquinate​

  • Doe Mixture

  • 24/7 Access to Alfalfa/Timothy Hay

Vaccination and Deworming:

  • Does 30 days prior to kidding receive CD&T

  • Does receive annual CD&T when not bred

  • Kids receive CD&T vaccines at 4 and 8 weeks (if still on site)

  • Bucks receive annual boosters of CD&T

  • All goats are dewormed twice a year unless symptoms arise

All kids are disbudded between 3 and 14 days of age.

Hooves are trimmed every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on growth.

All of the herd is clipped in the spring to prevent overheating.

The whole herd will be annually tested to remain a clean tested herd and only clean tested animals will be accepted into the herd.
